Anil Kapoor drives home Mercedes-Maybach S-Class

Anil Kapoor has got himself a new pair of hot wheels for Diwali, and it is a feast for the eyes!

The ‘Nayak’ actor on Thursday was delivered a swank Mercedes-Maybach S-Class by car dealer Landmark Cars Mumbai.

In an Instagram post, Landmark Cars confirmed “delivering the keys to the legendary Bollywood icon, Mr. @anilskapoor , as he takes his ‘Jhakaas’ style to the next level with his new Emerald Green Mercedes-Maybach S 580.”

“Here’s to ‘Nayak’ taking on the streets. We heartily ‘Welcome’ you to the Star family and wish your ride to be as legendary as your ‘Taal’ent on the silver screen!,” the post read.

In India, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is available in two broad variants: S 580 (V8) and S 680 (V12). According to carwale. com, the S 580 4MATIC is the mild hybrid (electric + petrol) variant in the Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class line-up. It gives a mileage of 9.8 kmpl, and is available in Automatic (TC) transmission.

With this Kapoor joins the league of an elite few in Bollywood who own the Mercedes-Maybach. Ranveer Singh (who is also Kapoor’s relative), his niece Janhvi Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Kriti Sanon and Hrithik Roshan are a few other celeb owners.

Last month, Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor and Southern rising star Pooja Hegde both became proud owners of fancy cars over the Dussehra weekend.

Pictures of Shraddha posing with a brand new, red Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica went viral on social media. The car is priced Rs 4.04 crore in India. Her friend, Pooja Chaudary, posted a pic with the ‘Aashiqui 2’ actress on Instagram after having delivered the swank car to her.

Another B’town actress – Pooja Hegde- also purchased a new set of wheels on Dussehra. The ‘Kisi KI bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ star was snapped posing with her family in front of a new Range Rover SV, priced at Rs 4 cr, in Mumbai. Hegde, dressed in a blue Anarkali suit, is seen stepping out of her new acquisition.

The Range Rover comes armed with a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine and a 294 kW motor that delivers a combined power of 404.5 kW. The car features a front bumper and grille design that come with digital LED headlights. Its infotainment features offer a 33.27 cm (13.1) touchscreen, rear seat entertainment and head-up display.
