Anyone who has opened the door of a vacation rental after a long trip, only to find it hasn't been cleaned as promised, knows the burn of betrayal. That traveler is more likely to distrust the proprietor of their next vacation rental, according to new research from Annabelle Roberts, assistant professor of marketing at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
