A Delhi court granted three days interim bail to Delhi’s former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia to attend the wedding of his niece in Lucknow on February 14.

A Delhi court granted three days interim bail to Delhi’s former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia to attend the wedding of his niece in Lucknow on February 14.

Sisodia was granted temporary relief by Special Judge M K Nagpal from February 13-15 in the corruption and money laundering cases under investigation by the CBI and ED, respectively.

The former deputy chief minister was detained by the CBI on February 26, 2023, concerning suspicions of corruption related to the development and execution of the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22, which has since been revoked.

Following his arrest by the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested him on March 9 from Tihar jail in a related money laundering case.
