Govt launches 'Rashtriya Puruskar Portal'

The Central government on Wednesday launched a common Rashtriya Puruskar Portal. Through the portal any citizen or organisation can nominate or recommend any orgainstaion or individuals for various Awards instituted by the Government of India.

The portal aims to bring all Awards of various Ministries, Departments and Agencies under one platform. This will not only ensure transparency put increase public participation (Jan Bhagidari) in the society.

The last date to nominate or recommend a individual for most of the awards is July, including Padma Awards

National Awards for e-Governance, Sardar Patel National Unity Award and Kaushalacharya Awards.

While, the last date to recommend for some of the awards like the National Award for Senior Citizens -Vayoshreshtha Samman is August. This also includes the National Award for Individual Excellence 2021 and 2022.

For nominating a person for Nari Shakti Puraskar, the last slot is October 31. However, the citizens can nominate for the Jeevan Raksha Padak by September 30.

So far, 38250 nominations are filled by the people and 38491 resgistrations are done under various categories.
