The Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah launched the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS)-Sahara Refund Portal on July 18, 2023.
Who will be paid first?
According to Amit Shah, the first payment of up to Rs10,000 would be made through this portal to 1 crore investors who have deposited Rs 10,000 or more. Shah stated that all four societies’ complete data is available online for application on this portal.
Who are eligible for refund through the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal?
The genuine and legitimate Depositors of following four Sahara Societies are eligible for refund through the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal: a. Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Kolkata. b. Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Lucknow. c. Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited, Bhopal. d. Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, Hyderabad.
What are the documents have to be attached to submit Claim
The Depositor should attach following documents:
a. Deposit certificate/ Passbook
b. Claim Request Form
c. PAN Card (if claim amount is Rs. 50,000/- and above)
Aadhaar seeded Bank account, membership number, Aadhaar linked Mobile number is mandatory.
Note that the depositor must fill out a single claim form with all the claim information, one by one, for each deposit across all Sahara societies where the depositor has unpaid dues.
How to register for Sahara Refund Portal
Step 1: Kindly visit CRCS Refund Portal website- https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in
Step 2: Click om Depositor Registration, to register, you need to enter 12 digit Membership Number, last 4 digit Aadhaar Number, 10 digit Aadhaar linked Mobile Number, captcha and press on “Get OTP”
Step 3: Enter the OTP received on Aadhaar linked Mobile Number and complete the Registration process.
How to claim Sahara Refund Portal: Step by step guide
Step 1: On the ‘Depositor Login Screen’, enter the last four digits of your Aadhaar number, your Aadhaar-linked mobile number, the captcha, and click “Get OTP”
Step 2 Enter the OTP received on Aadhaar linked Mobile Number.
Step 3: Once logged in, the depositor will see the Aadhaar Consent Screen. After accepting the terms and conditions by clicking the “I Agree” button, proceed to the next page.
Step 4: Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and click “Get OTP” on the Personal Details Screen. OTP will be sent to the depositor’s Aadhaar-linked mobile phone.
Step 5: Enter OTP and press on Verify OTP.
Step 6: After Verifying OTP, the system displays the Aadhaar user details like First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Father/ Husband Name.
Step 7: Also user can enter Email then click on “Save Email” and press “Next” button.
Step 8: Depositor will enter details as displayed on the screen
Step 9: Click on “Add Claim” Button and Depositor will see all details in the below grid. Here, Depositor will be able to add multiple Claim Details.
Step 10: Generate Prefilled Claim Request Form once all Claim data have been entered.
Step 11: Affix the recent photograph and duly sign across the photo as well as the Claim form.
Step 12: Upload the Claim Form and a copy of your PAN Card to the “Upload Documents” screen. (If the claim amount is Rs.50,000 or above, a PAN Card is required.
Thank you page will display with a Claim Request Number. Kindly note the Claim Request Number for future reference.
What should depositor do after verifying the claimed data?
After validating the claimed data, download and print the Claim Form. Attach a current snapshot and sign across the photo as well as the Form.
Finally, scan, upload, and submit the Claim Form.
How will Depositor know if the claim request is approved or not?
Depositor will receive a notification via SMS/Email in this regard.
How will Depositor receive the refund /claimed amount?
The refund of claimed amount will be directly credited to Depositor’s Aadhaar seeded bank account only after 45 days from the date of successful claim submission.
