Sanjiv Bhasin, Director, IIFL Securities, says Reliance, HDFC Bank can lead the pack. Other than that his favourites are Idea and Ambuja Cement. Bajaj Finance can be the Bajaj Finance.
How was the Mahurat trading day?
A new high is coming maybe by the end of December and overall the market breadth is superb. So, REC, PFC, Coal India hitting all-time highs. Shorts are getting squeezed, so is AU Bank. Now, if you want, I can give you a couple of stocks which I am very bullish on and I think Reliance, HDFC Bank will set the cat amongst the pigeons from Monday.
Please tell me.
I have stuck my neck out at Rs 11-12 for Idea. That is a no-brainer. It will double from here. Put your money in Vodafone-Idea, I am very sure you will get Rs 22-25, it is a slightly higher risk play for most people but the underground changes are humongous. Suzlon surged from Rs 8 to Rs 40. This is going to be a doubler from here.
Idea is my Diwali pick for the next year and I hope everyone will make money in that. Second pick is Ambuja Cement. In cement, Ambuja is doing extremely well. The port side logistics is adding to its margins and we know that price hike on cement is around the corner. If construction activity is so strong which is why capex, cement is a no-brainer and I think the best play over there is Ambuja. So, these are two stocks, aside from Reliance, HDFC Bank which I think can lead the pack.
A dark horse play is going to be Bajaj Finance, mind you that discount which most people were waiting for has happened.

I don’t want to see these stories because
Bajaj Finance numbers and raising Rs 8,500 crore is humongous. You can add another 20% to their kitty on the positive side as they see credit expand, that is my dark horse play for 8,000 by the end of the year.
